Dear Cindy Yacyshen,

It is with deep regret that I write to inform you that effective immediately I am terminating my arrangement to donate to Brandon University through payroll deduction. This letter is your written instruction to cease at once.

I am taking this action because I can no longer in good conscience condone the actions of this current administration with my continued financial support. Brandon shall therefore receive no further financial donations from me.

Take a good look at where my name appears on the list of donors outside the President's Office on the first floor of Clark Hall. I have been a long-term and generous donor to Brandon University in my twenty years at B.U. …. But no longer.

I am deeply disappointed by the great harm being done to Brandon University by this administration's intransigent, disrespectful treatment of its professoriate through its refusal to negotiate seriously with the Faculty Association.

I look forward to a future time when I might once again feel comfortable donating to the University. It will not, however, happen during this current administration.
